Oh well. It just didn't work and wasn't worth paying for shipping to send back. Plugged my hard drive in, the light comes on. and nothing.
Best way to make good use of those old notebook drives. This was exactly the right size for shirt pocket backup. No frills, quality product. Liked it so much bought 2 of these and 2 5.25 version. Just add old 2.5 drive. Bus powered is great.
Very good value. Includes a CD with drivers for older versions of Window. The enclosure is nothing fancy, but was simple to insert a drive into and simple to use. Sturdy aluminum case and a two tailed USB cable.
;) The ultra slim enclosure fits well in your pocket and feels tough enough to withstand sitting on it.
I have already bought a second one for an old 40gb drive I have laying around. I put a 100gb Toshiba drive in this enclosure from an old laptop. It does exactly what it's supposed to do without problem.
